Kamal Kishor Kashayap the farmers staying in the village Bade
Chakwa, Block Bastar and is a progressive farmer with innovative ideas in the farming he has born on 10 June, 1973 and is of 36 years. |

Work Done |
Minor millets (Ragi) is liking crop of tribal people of Bastar and
growing in upland soil condition during Kharif season. It consumed as food and provides a sustaining diet, especially for tribal people of this
region which are doing hard work. Farmers are grow ragi in traditional method as sowing of seeds manually in row or in broad cast, which
is time taking and required more labour. Line sowing of minor millets manually is tedious and time taking operation and women are mainly
involved in this crop cultivation. The farmers Shri Kamal Kishor Kashyap, Bade Chakwa has made patta with tines. This innovative technique of making patta has made sowing of minor millets Ragi easier
operation and reducing the drudgery.
The patta was fixed with tines making 8-10 rows with
dept of seeds sowing and operated by bullock or manually.
This patta makes tines from one side and for leveling
from another side after line sowing of the seeds. |
Result of the innovation |
It has reduced the drudgery upto 40% and improved the work efficiency with
reducing the labour cost. It light in weight and women eco-friendly implement.

Conclusion |
This innovative technology is spreading horizontally
in the farmers field who are taking crop miner millets
in Bastar district. This technology is women eco-friendly
can be made at local level. KVK Bastar has made a focal
point for use of this patta for adoption of the innovation
for spread the line sowing technology in miner millets. |
