| FLD (Front Line Demonstration) |
Front Line Demonstrations are being conducted by the KVK at farmers fields to show the potentiality of certain technologies which are new to a particular area and which have a positive bearing on production system. Special emphasis is being given for demonstrations of cereals, pulses and oilseed crops. During the year (2006 to 2011), 1942 frontline demonstrations were organized including 1445 on cereals, 143 on pulses, 191 on oilseeds and 163 on horticultural crops covering an area of 692 ha; besides, 130 demonstrations on various enterprises as depicted graphically.
1272 frontline demonstrations in 548 ha area in convergence programme under Drought Prone Area Project (DPAP, Batch-12) Haryali,
National Agriculture Innovation Project (NAIP, Component-II & III), Backward Rural Grant Funds (BRGF),
Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) and Coconut Development Board frontline demonstrations on various field crops,
horticulture crops, enterprises were conducted in the defined project areas of Bastar district.
